In your first semester on campus, you will have joined an alumni network that can help you find everything from an apartment, to a dentist, to a broomball team in the new city you’ve moved to after graduation. And they might have helped you get the job in that new city in the first place.

Your goal to graduate in four years becomes our goal, too. Our faculty and staff are here for you, creating Clarkson’s famously friendly and collaborative atmosphere. Small class sizes and a dedicated Student Success Center give you the relationships and tools you need to succeed. And when you’re able to graduate after four years, as you expected, you won’t have the burden of extra loans.

You’ll have joined at least one of the 200+ clubs, sports teams or competitive project teams (SPEED [Student Projects for Engineering Experience & Design], North Country Regional Business Plan Competition or President’s Challenge, for example) to further explore, practice and hone your skill sets — all while having fun and taking home top prizes. Potential employers will take notice.

You’ll have taken advantage of an extracurricular research experience with a renowned faculty member, gained international experience on a study abroad trip or had one or more internship and co-op opportunities. So you’ll have some experience under your belt to help you navigate new waters and handle with confidence whatever is thrown at you.
